Supporting youth transitioning to adulthood in Greater Victoria

Our next Meeting Is September 15, 2016! See “Meetings” for more information.

Second Wave is a grassroots group of families of youth and adults with developmental disabilities, self-advocates and professionals from the Victoria Capital Regional District in British Columbia. We are committed to:

  • Exploring promising practices and innovation for services for young adults ages 16 years to 25 in the Greater Victoria area, in the areas of employment, community inclusion, self-direction and individualized funding, educational transition, and housing options;
  • Identifying key gaps in service systems;
  • Putting energy into making promising practices happen where they don’t currently exist in our region;
  • Working on communicating our collective viewpoint to decision-makers; and
  • Sharing ideas, and resources of common interest.

See our “Meetings” page for information about upcoming educational workshops and get-togethers.
